Book of Vampires features a distinctly dark, gothic setting. The game takes place in the middle of the night, under a blood-red moon, among the tombs and towers of an old vampire mansion.
The reels are surrounded by massive stone columns and veils of fog float in the background. The music and sound effects are very gloomy and spooky – quiet creaks, faint howls, whispers and mysterious sounds create tension.
